The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to remove mopping from their list of tasks. Some have great mapping capabilities and obstacles avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free cleaning.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mop, this is the model to look for. It's smaller than the other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.
It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to clean dirt hair, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. Those same front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It's simple to install and is effective however, this is something you'll have to be aware of when you purchase this vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful cleaner with a variety of features.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and efficiently. This Web page ensures an even and thorough clean and is also quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to extend to the floor, close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce odors.
App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging rugs and carpets.
It's expensive, but has many smart features. However, it's important to note that it incurs recurring expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, a brushroll needs to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. This includes a power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and cleans and drys its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home clean without spending too much time doing chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with microfiber pads that snap in and out of place. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the tank with water.
The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also offers the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to shield certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.
We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up pet hair. It was able to collect many of the hair that shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that indicated when it was beginning or completing its task.
The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, but it also has distinctive features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni is notable for its massive dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 liter dust bin.
The base has a few control buttons that allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot, or use the dock's auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two buttons to switch on the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more accurate in recognizing objects.
The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't work until you remove it manually. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't have an "stuck" status alert in its application.
Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You will need to manually switch between the two, which isn't too bad apart from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a huge departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxes.
